It is a magnificient opportunity for us as children of God to walk with Him. This is something I had to really face up to. Do you sometimes feel alone? I mean it is easy to reflect on the issues of our lives, and it is a challenge to find someone who cares geninuely. I believe God sends people in our lives to hear us, comfort us, and even speak to us, but is that something we can embrass on a daily basis?
God is always present, and is a friend to us. He provides us with wisdom, peace, love, kindness, joy, understanding and so much more. We can count on the Father being there. Our soul cries out, and I have decided to stand close to Him, to walk with Him, to allow Him in my life completely.
I believe that we all try hard to open up to God, to allow God to move our lives, yet I have found myself stumbling, and weary over things I know God can handle. My situation is not too big for God, it is not and I can not afford to leave His presences and lock Him out.
So though God was know as Creator and Redeemer in the OT, He was rarely called Father. Christ however, always addressed God as His Father in the gospels. In so doing, Christ was claiming to be of the same nature, being, or essence as the Father. Also, by speaking of “our” Lord, Peter personalized the Christian’s intimate relationship with the God of the universe through His Son (1 Cor. 6:17), an important truth for suffering Christians to remember.
1 Peter 1:3-4 – A HEAVENLY INHERITANCE Peter showed those persecuted Christians how to look past their troubles to their eternal inheritance. Life, righteousness, joy, peace, perfection, God’s presence, Christ’s glorious companionship, rewards, and all else God has planned is the Christian’s heavenly inheritance.
Thank You Father for Your Spirit, Your love and Your presences in our lives. We must decide that we will walk with You daily, and invite You in all that we do. Regardless of what we are going through, the truth of the matter is we possess the character of our Father. If we stop and believe in the relationship we have with You, that will move us into a perfect relationship for every situation. We need You daily and will do as Christ Jesus did Himself refer to You as Father. We love you Father
